Ericsson and Vodafone have become the first companies in the Netherlands to conduct a 5G test using the 26 GHz frequency in a commercial telecom network. This frequency makes it possible to transport large amounts of data simultaneously and with ultra-low latency.
In the 5G Hub in Eindhoven, Ericsson and Vodafone are working together with a range of ecosystem partners on innovative applications that require high capacity. The first test at the 26 GHz spectrum took place with Dutch Rose Media, an expert in high definition volumetric video applications.
