Last Wednesday, we welcomed a large group of enthusiastic partners, colleagues, and interested individuals to the 5G Hub for a successful Ecosystem Meetup. Jan Spruijt, the manager of the 5G Hub, emphasized the importance of collaboration to elevate ecosystems around 5G to a higher level during a brief introduction. He also shared the five new proposition domains of the 5G Hub, highlighting significant challenges facing the industry. In the 5G Hub, we are preparing for a future with autonomous vehicles on land, sea, and in the air, widespread applications of Augmented Reality, implementation of sensors using artificial intelligence, and a world where the security of our digital infrastructure becomes increasingly crucial.
Sander van der Zande, Technology Strategy Manager at VodafoneZiggo, then took the floor and informed everyone about the latest developments in the field of 5G and the crucial changes that coincide with the new releases. The focus was on the key benefits of 5G, such as low-latency, ultra-reliability, and deep-indoor coverage, as well as concrete applications like network slicing, APNs, geolocation, and MPNs.
Following an extensive networking lunch, Michel Beckers, client executive partner at Eviden, delivered the partner pitch. He guided us through solutions based on Computer Vision, a technology for which an intriguing use case has been developed in the 5G Hub.
All in all, it was a highly successful event. If you are interested in getting in touch with us or adding yourself to our mailing list for future events, please let us know through the contact page.
